Information on the processing of personal data on this website. This English version is a convenience translation; in case of discrepancies the German version prevails.
Privacy at a glance
The notes below give an overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data means all data by which you can be identified personally.
Some of that data you give us yourself, for instance through a form. Other data our IT system records automatically on your visit - above all technical data such as browser, operating system and the time of the page view. It serves the faultless delivery of the website and the analysis of user behaviour.
You have the right at any time to information about, correction of and deletion of your data, to a restriction of processing, to withdrawing consent you have given, and to lodging a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Hosting
This website is hosted externally at maxcluster GmbH | Lise-Meitner-Straße 1b | D-33104 Paderborn, Germany. The data recorded on the website is stored on the servers of that host. This can be IP addresses, contact enquiries, meta and communication data as well as website access.
The hosting serves the performance of the contract with our prospective and existing customers (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and the interest in a secure, fast and efficient delivery of our offering (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with the host.

The controller is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.
Storage period
Unless a more specific storage period is named, your personal data stays with us until the purpose of the processing no longer applies. If you make a justified request for deletion or withdraw your consent, your data is deleted, unless there are legally permitted grounds for keeping it.
Your rights
Withdrawing your consent: many processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have given at any time. The lawfulness of the processing that took place until the withdrawal is not affected.
Right to object: where data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (e) or (f) GDPR, you may object at any time. For direct marketing the right to object applies without restriction.
Right to complain: in the event of infringements of the GDPR you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority - where you live, where you work or where the alleged infringement took place.
Data portability: data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract we hand over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format, as far as that is technically feasible.
Information, deletion and correction: you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the processing - and to correction or deletion.
Restriction of processing: you may request a restriction of processing if you dispute the accuracy of the data, the processing was unlawful, we no longer need the data, or you have lodged an objection.
SSL and TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can tell an encrypted connection by the address bar of the browser changing from „http://“ to „https://“, and by the padlock symbol. Data you send us cannot be read by third parties while encryption is active.
Data transfer to the USA
Tools from companies based in the USA are embedded on our website. When these are active, your personal data can be passed on to the US servers of those companies. The USA is not regarded as a safe third country under EU data protection law; US authorities may under certain circumstances demand access. We have no influence on these processing operations.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies - small text files stored on your device. Session cookies are deleted automatically at the end of your visit, permanent cookies stay until you delete them yourself. In part, cookies from third-party companies are set as well.
Technically necessary cookies are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; all others only with your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can set your browser to inform you about cookies being set, to allow cookies only in individual cases, or to exclude them generally.
Consent is managed by Borlabs Cookie (provider: Benjamin A. Bornschein, Hamburg). A cookie stores your choice locally; the data is not passed on. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 (c) GDPR.
Server log files
The provider of these pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files that your browser transmits automatically: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address.
This data is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR - the legitimate interest in the technically faultless presentation and the optimisation of the website.
Contact form and enquiries by email, phone or fax
If you contact us through a form or by email, phone or fax, your details including the contact data are stored with us in order to handle the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on without your consent.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the enquiry is connected with the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases the processing rests on our legitimate interest in handling the enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).
The data stays with us until you ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent, or the purpose of storing it no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods are not affected.
Google Analytics
This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The service allows visitor behaviour to be analysed - page views, time on site, operating systems used and the origin of users, for instance. Cookies and recognition technologies are used for this; as a rule the recorded data is transferred to a Google server in the USA.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR - the legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to improve our offering and our advertising - or, where it is asked for, your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. The data transfer to the USA rests on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission.
IP anonymisation is active: your IP address is shortened by Google within the EU or the EEA before the transfer to the USA. You can prevent the collection by Google Analytics with the browser plugin at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
A data processing agreement is in place with Google. User data tied to cookies, user identifiers or advertising IDs is anonymised or deleted after 14 months.
YouTube with extended data protection
This website embeds videos from YouTube. The operator is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use the extended data protection mode: according to YouTube, no information about visitors is stored before a video is watched. The connection to the Google DoubleClick network is not affected by this.
As soon as you start a video, a connection to the servers of YouTube is established and the page you are on is transmitted. If you are signed in to your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your browsing behaviour to your personal profile. Sign out if you do not want that.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR - the legitimate interest in an appealing presentation of our offering - or, where it is asked for, your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
