Do we stay safe to update?
Yes. We develop exclusively through the extension points Shopware provides - plugins of our own, events, decorators and Twig blocks. The core is not touched, which is why our work survives minor updates without intervention. For major versions we check and migrate on purpose.
What does custom development cost?
The effort depends on the requirement. After the analysis you get a written quote - as a fixed price for clearly bounded packages, or by time and material for ongoing development. Smaller pieces of work start in the range of a few person-days.
Can existing plugins be adapted?
In most cases yes. We extend third-party extensions through plugins of our own instead of changing their code - that way the original stays updatable. With our own Store extensions the change is possible directly anyway.
Do you take on the maintenance as well?
If you want us to. After the handover you can take out a maintenance contract: a compatibility check on Shopware updates, bug fixing with defined response times, and small extensions out of a monthly allowance.
