Cookies & Scripts
This is the heart of the configuration: every entry describes a cookie for the GDPR detail table in the banner and can carry the script that sets that cookie.
The list
The overview can be filtered by group and searched. The Script column shows whether an entry carries a blocked script.
Fields
General
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Technical name | Internal identifier of the entry. |
| Cookie group | Determines when the script may load. |
| Label | Name in the detail table. Translatable. |
| Position | Order within the group. |
| Active | Inactive entries are not shown and load no script. |
GDPR details
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Provider | Who receives the data, e.g. Google LLC. Translatable. |
| Purpose | What the data is used for. Translatable. |
| Cookie names | Comma separated, e.g. _ga, _gid, _gat. Wildcards such as _ga_* are allowed. |
| Lifetime | e.g. 2 years. Translatable. |
| Provider privacy policy link | Linked from the detail table. |
The cookie names are not just for display: the Cookie Scanner matches the cookies it finds against exactly this list. If a name is missing, the scanner reports the cookie as unknown.
Script configuration
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Script URL | External script, e.g. https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtag/js?id=G-XXXXX. |
| Script code | Inline JavaScript. |
| Script position | Head, Body (start) or Body (end). |
Both can be combined: URL and inline code are inserted one after the other. The script only loads once the group has been accepted — and then without a page reload.
Presets (premium)
Add preset opens a catalogue of ready-made definitions. You pick the service, enter the required ID and save — provider, purpose, cookie names, lifetime, privacy link, script and target group are already set.

Why you should create cookies yourself
Cookies reported through the Shopware standard appear in the banner automatically — with the texts of the respective plugin. If you want to phrase provider, purpose or lifetime yourself, create the cookie here. Your entry replaces the automatic one. More on this under Cookie Consent Banner.
